“Little House on the Prairie” star Melissa Gilbert has opened up about her longtime struggle with misophonia, a neurological disorder that affected her childhood, especially while filming the beloved TV show.

In an interview with People magazine published on Aug. 20, the 60-year-old recalled having intense reactions to certain noises from the condition, defining it as “a really dark and difficult part” of her past.
