A man is in custody after ramming his car into the front gate of actress Jennifer Aniston’s Los Angeles home.

According to the arrest records from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, 48, was arrested on May 5 following the incident.

At about 12:20 p.m. on Monday, authorities responded to reports of a burglary suspect who had driven through a gate in the Bel Air neighborhood.

“He used his vehicle to ram a gate to the residence,” confirmed Officer Jeff Lee, a spokesperson for the LAPD.

Private guards who were already on the premises apprehended Carwyle and held him until LAPD officers arrived.

Carwyle was booked on suspicion of felony vandalism and is being held without bail.

Anniston was home at the time of the incident.

The suspect had posted about Aniston online on multiple occasions, including sharing Aniston’s Facebook video that she made in collaboration with Lolavie Haircare products. He wrote: “Finding out who you are, help’s you become who your supposed to be [sic], like my wife, good morning love.”

An investigation remains ongoing, with formal charges yet to be filed as of May 6.

Booking records indicate Carwyle’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 7; however, it is unclear whether he has obtained or has been appointed any legal representation.

The Epoch Times reached out to the LAPD for comment but did not hear back by publication time.

Contact information for representatives for Carwyle is unknown at this time.

Other big-name celebrities have experienced similar instances in which strangers have threatened or harassed them at their residences, including Taylor Swift, Sandra Bullock, and Keanu Reeves.

In 2018, a Colorado man was arrested after stalking Swift with a knife outside of her Beverly Hills mansion. Prior to the incident, authorities reportedly warned the singer of a potential stalker and his wish to obtain a weapon to protect her.
Four years prior, a man was arrested for allegedly stalking and breaking into Bullock’s home, also in Beverly Hills, and came face-to-face with her in the hallway outside of her bedroom. He ultimately took his own life following a stand-off with police in 2018.

Meanwhile, Reeves was granted a temporary restraining order in 2023 against an alleged stalker who repeatedly trespassed on his Los Angeles property and tried to contact him.
