Grammy-nominated country singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini recently visited the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, surprising young patients and their families with a meet-and-greet, along with a very special donation.

The 32-year-old country-pop star brought “smiles, songs and a generous $100,000 gift” to the Nashville-based medical center’s Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention Program, the hospital stated in an Oct. 2 Instagram post.
