Actor and comedian Jeff Garcia, best known for his role voicing “Sheen Estevez” on the TV series “The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius,” has died at age 50.

On Dec. 10, his son, Jojo Garcia, confirmed news of his passing in a heartfelt social media post, featuring a carousel of photos and paying tribute to his life as a father and entertainer.

“With a very heavy heart, I would like to inform everybody that my father, Jeff Garcia, has passed away,” he wrote on Instagram. “My father was a unique soul. He was unapologetically himself and I will always admire the love, compassion, and drive that he had.

“He taught me so much and gave me advice that I live by every single day. He was a Father, Son, Uncle, Cousin, Brother, but most of all, he was my best friend.”

According to TMZ, Jeff Garcia was pronounced dead on Dec. 10 after being taken off life support at a hospital in Southern California.

“He believed in me, in a way that nobody else did. The talent my father possessed was truly one of a kind,” Jojo Garcia continued. “From voice acting to stand up comedy, he shined with his quick wit, brash humor, and charm.

“He has made such an impact on people’s lives internationally whether you grew up watching Jimmy Neutron, or shared a laugh with him at one of his shows.”

An official cause of death has not yet been released, however, the outlet reports Jeff Garcia was hospitalized this year on multiple occasions for medical issues which included a brain aneurysm, a stroke, and a case of pneumonia.

As his health declined, the actor canceled multiple scheduled performances. On Dec. 8, he was admitted into the hospital for difficulty breathing, before his lung collapsed the following day.

Born in 1975, in La Puente, California, Jeff Garcia began his career as a stand-up comedian as a teenager in the early 1990s, making his mark in popular comedy clubs across the state and eventually the country.

Beginning in 1995, he ventured into acting where he appeared on guest television roles on NBC’s “Caroline in the City” and ABC’s “Dangerous Minds.”

In 2001, he was hired for the voice acting role on Nickelodeon’s “Jimmy Neutron” animated film and TV series, and later the spinoff series of his character called “Planet Sheen.”

His former “Jimmy Neutron” co-star Debi Derryberry also took to Instagram to pay tribute to her “dear friend.”

“We were all together just a a few months ago at a convention,” Derryberry wrote. “He was always the funniest man in the room. We’re gonna miss you Sheen.”

Jeff Garcia’s other credits include voicing Pip the Mouse in “Barnyard,” voicing Rinaldo in the “Happy Feet” series, several characters in the “Rio” film series, and stints throughout the early 2000s in the TV series “ChalkZone,” “Clone High,” and “Ben 10: Ultimate Alien.”

Jeff Garcia is survived by his ex-wife, Lisa, and their two children, daughter Savannah and son Jojo.
