‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Eric Dane’s Cause of Death Revealed a Week After Actor’s Death

Dane died of respiratory failure, with ALS identified as an underlying cause.

Actor Eric Dane’s cause of death has been confirmed just over a week after he died at age 53.

According to a death certificate obtained by People and reported by the outlet on March 2, Dane died of respiratory failure, with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) identified as an underlying cause.
