It’s been more than 20 years since Gretchen Wilson released her debut record, “Here for the Party,” an edgy, chart-topping collection of rock-infused, honky tonk tunes.

Now, the Grammy-winning singer is heading back into the studio to rerecord the songs on her hit 2004 album, with the help of some of country music’s biggest stars.

Wilson, 52, discussed the nostalgia-laced project during a Nov. 3 appearance on Rolling Stone’s “Nashville Now” podcast, revealing the upcoming album from her indie label, Redneck Records, will have an entirely new sound.

“I’m going to do it [differently]—I’m going to have a guest vocalist on each song,” she said. “I’ve gotten some promises from some pretty big names right now.”

Among them is Country Music Hall of Famer Tanya Tucker, whose more than 50-year career has spawned an array of soulful hits, including “Delta Dawn” and “What’s Your Mama’s Name.”

Tucker, 67, will join Wilson in belting out the album’s breakthrough single, “Redneck Woman,” which soared to the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart after its release, scoring a Grammy in 2005.

“It’s just authentic,” Wilson said on the podcast about the song’s enduring appeal. “‘Redneck Woman’ was just different enough at that time and authentic enough in that moment to become an anthem for women who just weren’t being talked to—but they weren’t being talked about either.”

“On My Way to You” crooner Cody Johnson, 38, will tackle Wilson’s timeless ballad “When I Think About Cheatin',” one of the album’s other chart-topping hits.

Also on the list of duets is Miranda Lambert, another mainstay in the country genre. The 41-year-old singer will soon add another accolade to her list when she’s inducted into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame next year.

“I’ve got Travis Tritt going to be on the record,” Wilson continued. “Almost 100 percent positive right now about Ella Langley being on the record. It’s a lot ... a lot of excitement.”

The reimagined “Here for the Party” will mark the first full album that Wilson has released since 2017’s “Ready to Get Rowdy.” Though she has put out a few songs since then, including 2024’s “Little Miss Runner Up.”

Wilson has also been busy on the small screen, winning season 13 of Fox’s hit show “The Masked Singer,” which premiered in February.

The singer also serves as a tour manager on the CBS country music competition series “The Road.” The show, which debuted in October, follows a dozen aspiring musicians as they compete to become the next superstar by opening for Keith Urban on tour.

“Stepping into the role of ’tour manager' for THE ROAD has allowed me to take everything I’ve learned over all of my years of touring and pour it right back into these emerging musicians,” Wilson said in a statement.

“Helping them sharpen their talents to capture the attention of these crowds across America, and guiding them through the real and raw grind of life on the road, has been a highlight of my career ... It was an honor to be a part of this team, and I can’t wait for the world to watch!”
