First Lady Melania Trump hosted a private screening of her upcoming self-titled documentary at the White House, calling the event a “historic moment.”

The black-tie event was held on Jan. 24 in the East Room of the White House and featured a small guest list of family members, friends, close advisers, and other VIP attendees.

“I am deeply humbled to have been surrounded by an inspiring room of friends, family, and cultural iconoclasts at the White House last night,” she wrote on X, alongside a photo from the screening.

“Each of these individuals brought their unique vision to the world, making a lasting impression.”

President Donald Trump and the couple’s son, Barron Trump, along with Director Brett Ratner, Amazon Studios chief Mike Hopkins, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, Queen Rania of Jordan, Apple CEO Tim Cook, and professional boxer Mike Tyson, were among those in attendance.

“Our personal stories endure time and serve as a reminder of our mutual obligation to one another,” she wrote on X. “It was an honor to present my new film, MELANIA, ahead of its global launch.”

The documentary, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, follows the first lady during the 20 days leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration and gives viewers an inside look into Melania’s life beyond politics.
“Step inside Melania Trump’s world as she orchestrates inauguration plans, navigates the complexities of the White House transition, and moves her family back to the Nation’s Capital,” reads the film’s synopsis.

“With exclusive footage capturing critical meetings, private conversations, and never-before-seen environments, MELANIA showcases Mrs. Trump’s return to one of the world’s most powerful roles.”

Featuring never-before-seen personal footage and moments, the film explores Melania’s upbringing in Slovenia, her fashion choices and career in the industry, her diplomatic engagements, and her role as first lady as the family rose in the political sphere.

“For the first time, global audiences are invited into theaters to witness this pivotal chapter unfold—a private, unfiltered look as I navigate family, business, and philanthropy on my remarkable journey to becoming First Lady of the United States of America,” she said in a December 2025 press release.
In promoting the film, Melania is set to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Jan. 28.

Prior to the documentary’s theatrical release on Jan. 30, the president, first lady, and a thousand other guests will also attend the official premiere at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
