Apparent fans of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor got into a confrontation with police on Oct. 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

TMZ reported that after-fight spilled out of the T-Mobile Arena, and “one ridiculous dude came without a whisker of getting cuffed and carted off to jail.” The video can be seen here (Warning: contains profanity):
The New York Post also reported that apparent Russian and Irish fans got into a fight.

“First of all, I want to say sorry to Athletic Commission, sorry to Vegas,” Nurmagomedov said of the brawl after the UFC 229 fight. “I know this is not my best side. I’m a human being.

Nurmagomedov retained the UFC lightweight championship title after defeating McGregor in the fourth round. However, he climbed the octagon fence and attacked a person in the audience right after the fight, and teammates of his got involved in a fight with McGregor inside the octagon.

“I don’t understand how people can talk about I jump on the cage. What about he talk about my religion? He talk about my religion, he talk about my country, he talk about my father. He come to Brooklyn and he broke bus. He almost killed a couple of people. What about this...?” Nurmagomedov asked during the press conference.

“Khabib diving over [the cage] was ridiculous,” UFC president Dana White said during the press conference. “You know, you just won a great fight, you fought brilliantly, you’re about to get the belt on and people are going to respect the fact that you fought well and you won the fight. And instead, you dive over the cage and start this huge melee with Conor’s corner.”

“I actually didn’t allow [Nurmagomedov] to get the belt put on because I knew what was going to happen when we did it was people were going to throw whatever they had into the Octagon, so let’s just get him out of here. ... Sure enough, as soon as they started going through the tunnel, exactly what I knew was gonna happen. I was like, ‘We’ll be lucky enough just to get him out of here without the belt.'”

He suggested that Nurmagomedov would face a suspension for his postfight antics.

Following his loss, McGregor tweeted on Oct. 7: “Good knock. Looking forward to the rematch.”
He also posted a message and photo on Instagram, which read: “I’ll be back.”
