Filming for the Netflix series “Emily in Paris” resumed on Aug. 23, two days after the sudden death of assistant director Diego Borella on set in Venice, Italy.

Borella, 47, collapsed on Aug. 21 while preparations were underway for a final scene at the Hotel Danieli, a historic luxury hotel in Venice. On-site medical personnel attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
