Grammy award-winning country star Dolly Parton has released the final installment of her autobiographical book trilogy, taking readers on an introspective journey back to some of the most pivotal moments of her life and career.
“Star of the Show: My Life on Stage” debuted on Nov. 11 and pairs personal anecdotes with hundreds of never-before-seen photos from the singer’s more than seven decades on stage.
“Brimming with Parton’s trademark wit and heartfelt sincerity, ‘Star of the Show: My Life on Stage’ is not only an homage to one of history’s most cherished artists, but also a must-have collector’s item for—and love letter to—any fan of the one and only Dolly Parton.”
The “Queen of Country” published the first installment of her photographic trilogy in November 2020. Titled “Songteller: My Life in Lyrics,” the book showcased nearly 200 songs that defined her career, among them “Something Fishy,” from her 1967 debut album, “Hello, I’m Dolly,” and her 2008 hit “Backwoods Barbie.”
“Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones” followed in October 2023 and chronicled her lifelong passion for all things fashion and style.
“Even prouder that I’ve been able to do it with and for my fans. God bless you everyone.”

As 2025 comes to a close, the 79-year-old musician is showing no signs of slowing down and already has big things in store for next year.
Her “Dolly: A True Original Musical” production is heading to New York City in 2026 to debut on Broadway. The musical previously opened at Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, showcasing the singer’s humble beginnings growing up in small-town East Tennessee to finally making it big on the stage.
Parton is also set to open a hotel and museum in downtown Nashville next summer.
The third floor of the hotel will serve as home to Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum—the largest exhibition dedicated to the singer to date.
“This museum is a place where folks can see my journey through my own eyes—every color, every story, and every dream that brought me here,” Parton said in a statement. “I can’t wait to welcome visitors from around the world to Nashville to share in my life of many colors.”
