Breakout country star Ashley Cooke has been diagnosed with a rare and potentially life-threatening genetic heart condition known as Brugada syndrome.

The 28-year-old singer, whose debut album, “Shot in the Dark,” was released in 2023, discussed her “terrifying” health struggles in a July 13 interview with Taste of Country.
