Child star Floyd Roger Myers Jr., best known for his role on the 1990s sitcom “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” has died at 42.

According to a GoFundMe page set up by his younger sister, Tyree Trice, the actor died on Oct. 29 from a “sudden heart attack” at his home in Maryland.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of my beloved brother, Floyd Roger Myers Jr., who tragically left us today after a sudden heart attack,” read the fundraiser set up for his family and funeral expenses.

“He was a devoted father, loving brother, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and warmth touched everyone he met. ... Our loving family is now facing the unimaginable loss of someone who meant everything to us.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with our family during this painful time,” read the GoFundMe campaign, which has so far raised over $6,000.

His mother, Renee Trice, told TMZ that Myers had previous health concerns, as he suffered three separate heart attacks over the last three years.
She later mourned his loss in a Facebook post sharing a photo of Myers with his family and writing, “This is not suppose to be so.”

Myers is survived by his immediate family, including four children—Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox. His funeral is scheduled for Nov. 3.

Born in Washington, D.C., in 1983, Myers began his acting career at age 9, when he portrayed a young Will Smith in a season three episode of “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” titled “Will Gets Committed” in 1992.

That same year, he went on to appear on the ABC television miniseries “The Jacksons: An American Dream” for two episodes, portraying Marlon Jackson as a child. In the series, he acted alongside stars such as Angela Bassett, Vanessa Williams, and Billy Dee Williams.

His only other recorded credits include a role on an episode of the teenage soap opera “Young Americans” in 2000.

Beyond acting, Myers co-founded the The Fellaship Men’s Group, a nonprofit dedicated to offering emotional and mental health support for men through wellness programs, healing workshops, and service opportunities.
“RIP to our good brother @rocwonder one of our co founders,” read the group’s Instagram tribute. “Gone but never will be forgotten.

“The mission will continue in your honor. Next men’s meeting will be one for the books like we talked about! Love you bro, rest easy, big bro will take it from here.”
