Cannes to Honor Barbra Streisand With Palme ‌d'Or Award at 79th Annual Film Festival

Streisand will be recognized on May 23 for her decades long career across cinema, music, and theater, along with her activism and philanthropic work.

Award-winning singer-songwriter, actress and director Barbra Streisand has been named the next recipient of the Honorary Palme ‌d'Or award at the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival.

In a press release on March 11, organizers announced the 83-year-old will be awarded the Golden Palm on May 23 during a live ceremony from the Palais des Festivals stage in Cannes, France.
