Arthur Neville, the founding member of The Meters and the Neville Brothers, has passed away at the age of 81, according to multiple sources.

Neville passed away on July 22 due to multiple health issues and declining health, sources close to Neville’s family told Nola. According to his manager, Kent Sorrell, Neville passed away peacefully at his home and in the company of his wife, Lorraine. Nola cited that in addition to his declining health, Neville also had complications from earlier back surgery.
