Popular streaming platform Apple Music is marking its 10th anniversary with the opening of a new recording space in the greater Los Angeles area, set to open its doors later this summer.

The three-story facility, which spans more than 15,000 feet, will join other entertainment company headquarters, including Sony Music, Amazon MGM, and Amazon Music, in Culver City, Apple announced in a press release on Monday.

“With this launch, the service continues to innovate, not just in how music is streamed, but also in how it’s made, experienced, and shared,” Apple said.

“From radio to live performance, to fan engagement and content creation, this new studio will serve as a creative home for the next decade of music.”

Apple said the new space was “designed with artists in mind.”

In addition to two radio studios, private recording booths, and a mixing room, artists will have access to a 4,000-square-foot soundstage for screenings, fan events, and live performances.

The building will also feature a photo and social media lab, an edit suite, and a green room that influencers can use for content creation.

“Apple Music Radio has always been a home for storytelling and artistry, serving as a space for bold conversations and surprising moments,” Rachel Newman, Apple Music’s co-head, said in a statement.

“With this new studio, we are furthering our commitment to creating a space for artists to create, connect, and share their vision.”

The Los Angeles studio joins a growing collection of other recording spaces, which includes facilities in New York, Nashville, Tokyo, Berlin, and Paris.

Apple debuted its music streaming platform on June 30, 2015.

In celebration of Apple Music’s decade-long milestone, Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden, cohosts of the 24/7 radio station Apple Music 1, kicked off a week of radio specials and other live programs on Monday.

“10 whole years, where does the time go,” Lowe, who also serves as Apple Music’s global creative director, shared in an Instagram post.

“Too many incredible experiences to sum up in one day, but needless to say this has been and remains the most fun. Thanks to anyone who’s listened and collaborated over the years. So much more to come. Love you. Love you @applemusic.”
