Actor Julian Sands Remembered 3 Years After Disappearance in Southern California Mountains

Human remains were later identified as Sands. However, officials were unable to determine how the actor died.

The circumstances surrounding the death of actor Julian Sands, known for his roles in films such as “A Room With a View” and “Warlock,” remain unresolved three years after he disappeared while hiking in Southern California.

Sands, 65, was reported missing on Jan. 13, 2023, after failing to return from a solo hike on Mount Baldy in the San Gabriel Mountains. The area was experiencing severe winter weather at the time, including snow, ice, and limited visibility.
