Oscar-winning actor Gary Oldman, renowned for portraying antagonistic roles in films such as “Bram Stoker’s Dracula,” “True Romance,” and “Léon: The Professional,” is poised to return to the stage next spring for his first theater performance in almost four decades.

Oldman, 66, will perform at the York Theatre Royal in a new production of “Krapp’s Last Tape,” a play penned by the late Irish novelist Samuel Beckett.
