Earl Frederic Jr., the vice president of Entergy Technology, was arrested in New Orleans for allegedly possessing child pornography after downloading it on his office computer, according to reports.
Frederic, 66, was arrested on Wednesday in his home. He posted the $25,000 bond and was freed shortly after, WWLTV reported.
When he was arrested, he was vice president of the Entergy Technology company, which is a subsidiary of the Entergy Corporation, one of the largest energy firms in the U.S. It owns and operates power plants.
New Orleans police told the station that he was downloading child pornography on his office computer. Entergy found out and told police.
“The computer was receiving and transmitting mass downloads from child pornography web sites,” reads his arrest report.
Entergy said in a statement that the firm “is fully cooperating with authorities in their investigation.”
