Allison Janney, who received two Emmy Awards this during this year’s awards season, talked about her how she stacks her awards on top of her TV, how she remembers Robin Williams, and where her inspiration for “Mom” came from.

First she talked about her character Bonnie from the TV series “Mom.”

“She’s sort of an amalgamation of a lot of different women I’ve known in my life. Some of them related to me, some of them not. But definitely she’s nothing like my mother, or like me, which is kind of freeing and a great excuse to be obnoxious, and play someone who is just unapologetically bold and brash,” Janney said.

Although there is something she learned from her mother in terms of style. Wearing a beautiful Nicolas Jebran structured velvet gown, and matching dark purple jewels by Lorraine Schwartz, Janney looked glamorous.

“My mother is always ‘less is more’... she’s very simple, classic, elegant,” she said. “I probably take more risks fashion-wise than my mother ever did,” Janney said.

She also remembered her friend Robin Williams.

“Everyone’s wearing green ribbons to spotlight anyone who has depression or mental illness... I very much want to see what [Billy Crystal] says because I know that there’s not going to be a dry eye in the house,” Janney said.
