Emma Bennett, a 27-year-old UK woman, died in a Leeds hospital after she was mauled by two dogs, it was reported.

The BBC reported that Bennett died Tuesday evening after she was treated for dog bites she had suffered on Monday.

She was attacked at a home in Dawlish Avenue, Osmondthorpe.

West Yorkshire Police spokesman told ITV: “One dog which got loose from the property was contained by officers in Back Dawlish Road and recovered. Another was safely removed from the address a short time later.”

Police officers said they responded to reports of a woman “in distress” on Dawlish Avenue.

“Two dogs were seized following the incident and police inquiries remain ongoing this evening,” a police spokesperson said. ”Officers would like to speak to anybody who has information about the incident and the dogs involved in it.”

The breed of the dogs was not disclosed.

The Yorkshire Post reported that only one of the dogs attacked Bennett.
