An article saying Eminem is in rehab for an addiction to heroin and has “quit” music is fake.
The bogus article was published on Huzlers.com, a satire website. “The rapper was recovering from a cocaine addiction for about 6 years until he released his first album back titled ’relapse' in 2009. Now it has been revealed that Eminem is battling a new addiction, but not cocaine.. it’s Heroine,” the article says, spelling “heroin” incorrectly. “It is being said by Eminem’s management that he will no longer be making music.”
It also includes fake quotes from his manager
According to a disclaimer at the bottom of the page, Huzlers doesn’t post real news stories.
“Huzlers.com is looking for creative and talented writers. If you would like to become a contributing writer for Huzlers please register an account here,” it reads.
Before the comments section, the site also says, “Got Huzled? Drop a comment below!”
But some people apparently believed the bogus report.
“Always loved Eminem his music is the bollocks, regardless on what he’s on, having the money he’s got its so easy to lose ur way in life, I wish him a full recovery and keep ur chin up for ur children xxx #getwellsoon xx,” one person wrote.
Said another, “Don’t ever forget what he is to us all...a word from a mouth of a man with a message...that is marshal mathers (sic).”
