Emily Browning, Tenna Torres, Hope Solo, and Gabi Grecko are among the latest victims named in the nude pictures hack that has left hundreds of graphic images online.
Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, and Aubrey Plaza are among the more higher-profile targets.
Dozens of pictures of Lawrence and Upton appear to be circulating online, principally through Reddit and 4Chan.
Browning, an Australian actress; Solo, an American soccer goalkeeper and two-time Olympic gold medalist; and Tenna Torres, a finalist on American Idol season 12 have not commented on the photos as of yet.
Grecko, the partner of Melbourne businessman Geoffrey Edelsten, told the Sydney Morning Herald that the hack is a “sex crime.”
“I think it’s extremely violating. If I want to post nudes or anything like that it should be because I consented,” Grecko said. “Anything took privately on my phone that I didn’t realise, I obviously had my reasoning and it’s just scary this person has gathered all of these images without consent because some things are just private.”
A number of other celebrities and sports stars, including Hillary Duff, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and Ariana Grande are named on the so-called “master list” of women targeted by the hack, which was allegedly made possible by an iCloud security breach, which Apple has denied.
“After more than 40 hours of investigation, we have discovered that certain celebrity accounts were compromised by a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions, a practice that has become all too common on the Internet,” it said in a statement on Tuesday.
“None of the cases we have investigated has resulted from any breach in any of Apple’s systems including iCloud or Find my iPhone. We are continuing to work with law enforcement to help identify the criminals involved.”
Edelsten, the Australian businessman, added to SMH that ““It’s disgraceful that personal information and photos can be stolen and dispersed to others.”
Australian actresses Teresa Palmer and Yvonne Stahovski were also targeted.
