Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, the celebrated actors, were married in a private ceremony in Como, Italy on Saturday.

A representative of John Krasinksi confirmed the wedding to Us Magazine.

“It was an outdoor ceremony and absolutely beautiful,” an unnamed source told Us.

The couple exchanged nuptials at Villa D’este, a private-residence-turned-luxury-hotel originally built during the Renaissance to house the Cardinal of Como during the summer months.

Blunt, a British actress who has appeared in films such as The Devil Wears Prada and Charlie Wilson’s War, wore a cream Marchesa gown that was custom-made for the occasion. The dress – which had a sweetheart neckline – was draped and embroidered.

Actor George Clooney and Italian model-actress girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis attended the ceremony. The couple had been vacationing at Clooney’s nearby Lake Como estate since the Fourth of July.

The two had been dating since November 2008, according to PopEater. The Office star proposed in August 2009 with a 3-carat Edwardian diamond ring in a platinum setting from Neil Lane, valued at $100,000.

“It was very casual,” Krasinski said of the proposal in an interview with Access Hollywood. “I was nervous and the whole nine yards.”

The couple are not planning to add children to their new family anytime soon, Krasinski said in the interview.

“I think we’re going to take our time with that, hopefully,” he said.
