Emeryville Apple Store Hit in Copycat Grab-and-Run Theft

Six to eight suspects on the afternoon of Sept. 25, stole multiple products from an Apple store in Emeryville, police said.

The theft occurred at about 12:20 p.m. at 5640 Bay St. in what police described as a grab-and-run theft.

Police aren’t sure, at least right now, how many products the suspects got away with.

A rash of grab-and-run thefts from Apple stores has occurred recently in the San Francisco Bay Area. Police didn’t say whether this theft may be connected to the others.

Police said they are investigating the theft and anyone with information about it is asked to get in touch with the Police Department’s criminal investigations section at (510) 596-3700.
