Model Ellidy Vlug is pulling for her boyfriend Alex Pullin, dubbed Australia’s best chance for a gold medal at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.
Pullin is a snowboarder who will compete on Tuesday in the cross race after it was delayed because of fog on Monday.
Pullin told Perth Now that he was disappointed about the delay but happy Vlug and his family had come out to support him.
“It’s a real shame because the atmosphere here was really good today and I felt really good,’’ he said.
Vlug and Pullin have been dating for the past year-and-a-half.
She arrived in Sochi on Sunday after vacationing in Italy.
They both enjoy the beaches in Australia and share other interests. Their apartment is just 300 meters from the beach in Dee Why.
“It does suck when he’s away but it’s normally only a month at a time and when he’s home we’re together the whole time,” she said.
