El Paso, IL: Confirmed Tornado in Central Illinois, Damage Expected in Minonk, Benson, Panola, Gridley

A tornado was confirmed near El Paso, Illinois on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Lincoln.

The tornado was located near El Paso and moving east at 5 miles per hour.

Weather spotters confirmed the tornado, which was a land spout. 

Damage is expected in the area.

The locations impacted include Minonk, Benson, Panola, Gridley. This includes Interstate 39 between mile markers 14 and 28.
