The sons of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman are making threats via Twitter against the Mexican government after the father, the head of the Sinaloa cartel, was captured over the weekend.
“The Government is going to pay for this betrayal, it shouldn’t have bitten off more than it could chew,” Alfredo said on his Twitter account. “I just want to say that we are not beaten. The cartel is my father’s and will always be my father’s. GUZMAN LOERA FOREVER.”
“Those dogs that dared to lay a hand on my father are going to pay,” added Ivan.
Each of the men have over 20,000 Twitter followers, decreasing the chances that these are not real accounts.
They sometimes post pictures of themselves traveling around and with items such as cash and guns.
Both have also been emphasizing that the Sinaloa cartel is not over–but that they are only waiting for orders from their father.
