Earthquakes Today: Five Quakes Hit Near Indonesia, No Tsunami Warning

Five earthquakes hit today near Indonesia, with the strongest recorded as 6.1 magnitude.

That quake was almost 200 miles east-northeast of large pockets of civilization, being close to a string of smaller islands that are either not occupied or have barely anyone living on them.

Other quakes were clocked in the area at magnitudes of 4.4 to 5.2.

The depths did vary greatly, with the 5.2 quake hitting at a depth of 1.4 miles, while the 4.4 quake hit at a depth of 241.9 miles.

There is no tsunami warning from the quakes as of yet.
