An earthquake was felt today in San Diego, California.

The quake appears to be the same 5.2 magnitude quake that hit in Mexico.

San Diego, just across the border, is not too far away.

The quake hit about 27 miles north-northeast of Camalu in Mexico, the U.S. Geological Service said. It hit around 130 miles south-southwest of San Diego.

It was quite shallow, hitting at a depth of .6 miles.

Mari Payton said via Twitter: “Just felt the earthquake from a San Diego downtown highrise...crazy!”

“The earth is shaking in #sandiego!!!” added Henrique Ninni.

“Just had my first earthquake experience..that was no joke! #sandiego” added Caroline Beckman.
