An earthquake hit today outside of Oklahoma City near Langston and Guthrie.
The quake hit seven miles south of Langston, 10 miles east-southeast of Guthrie, 17 miles northeast of Edmon, 22 miles south-southwest of Stillwater, and 29 miles north-northeast of Oklahoma City, the U.S. Geological Service reported.
It was measured at 4.0 magnitude, and at a relatively shallow depth of 2.8 miles. The quake was felt in much of central Oklahoma, according to residents on Twitter.
It hit at about 10:06 p.m. CDT.
That includes Tulsa and other nearby areas, reported broadcaster KJRH.
The Oklahoma City Sheriff’s office noted that it did not receive any calls about injuries or damage from the quake.
