A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck in southern Alaska on Tuesday.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake hit 14 miles near the town of Y, 50 miles from Knik-Fairview, and 62 miles from Anchorage.

The quake had a depth of 24 miles.
