A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck about 70 miles south of Lima, Peru, on Monday.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake, which had a depth of 46 miles, struck at around 3:00 p.m. local time.
The quake hit near Quilmana, Imperial, Nuevo Imperial, and Mala, the agency said.
It also hit near the Pacific coast.
On Twitter, Peruvian users said they could feel the quake.
