An earthquake struck today in Oklahoma about 12 miles south of Medford and 17 miles north-northeast of Enid.
The 3.4 magnitude quake was also 36 miles west of Ponca City and 80 miles north of Oklahoma City.
The U.S.Geological Service reported that the quake hit at a depth of 3.2 miles.
The area typically has infrequent earthquakes but there have been dozens in Oklahoma over the past several years, something some people link to fracking.
