A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck near northern Japan close to Russia on Sunday night.
The U.S. Geological Survey said that the quake hit at a depth of 19 miles.
The quake struck north of Hokkaido, a northern Japanese island, around 34 miles east of Shebunino, Russia.
It was located near Wakkanai and

- Nevel’sk, Russia
