A 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Mexico on Saturday near Baja California.

The U.S. Geological Survey said that the quake hit around 45 miles southwest of Etchoropo, located on the western side of the country.

The quake, which struck off the coast, had a depth of 0.6 miles.

It is unclear if there were any injuries or damage.
