A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck 20 miles from Golaghat near Assam, located in India, on Wednesday.

The quake hit around 15 miles from Barpathar, 16 miles from Silapathar, and 27 miles from Bokajan, said the US Geological Survey.

It had a depth of around 27 miles.

On Twitter, some users said they felt the quake.

The quake hit at 9:46 a.m.
