Earthquake Today by Los Angeles: 3.8 Quake Wednesday in Riverside; Corona and Tustin, California

Another earthquake, with a preliminary magnitude of 3.8 apparently struck near Los Angeles in Riverside County by the city of Corona, located in Southern California, on Wednesday night--nearly a day after a 4.4-magnitude quake hit near Fontana, Calif.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake hit near Tustin, Corona, Villa Park, and Yorba Linda. It had a depth of 5.3 miles.

The quake, which struck at 11:40 p.m. PT, apparently rattled much of the greater LA area.

On Twitter, a number of people wrote that they could feel it.

“So apparently there was another earthquake?!” wrote one. 

Added another: “That’s the second night in a row that there’s been an earthquake. Bet you anything the ‘Big One’ is coming.” 

Said another, “Another earthquake #cool.” 

“Oh there was an earth quake ? lol would have never known if y'all wasn’t blowing up my timeline bout it,” tweeted another user.

Another wrote, “I feel like were are going to have a bigger #earthquake and these are just preshocks but let’s hope I’m wrong :(”

There were no initial reports of injuries or damage.
