A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck north of Chico, Calif., centering near the small town of Greenville.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck Thursday around eight miles from Greenville, located in Northern California near Lassen National Park.
The quake took place just minutes after 2 p.m., according to the USGS.
The Los Angeles Times reported there have been more than 31 earthquakes with a magnitude of 3.0 near where the quake hit.
On Wednesday, a 4.6-magnitude quake struck in Southern California off the coast Santa Barbara.
Some residents noted shaking.
