Dwayne Johnson, formerly known as The Rock, returned to the professional wrestling circuit as a host on Feb. 14.

Right before Johnson made his entrance to the WWE Raw Monday night, the arena went dark. When the audience heard Johnson’s theme song and saw him walk across the floor, they let out a deafening series of screams.

“I am back in the middle of this ring because of you,” he said of the fans, adding that he is not coming back to the ring for money or to promote a movie. His statement was met with cheers from the audience.

Johnson, who in 2006 said that he wanted to be known by his real name, did not detail if he will actually get into the ring and wrestle.

“After seven long years, finally ... The Rock has come back home!” he said.

Johnson stopped wrestling professionally in 2004 and began appearing in movies such as The Scorpion King, Gridiron Gang, and Walking Tall.

Johnson will host WrestleMania XXVI, which will be held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on April 3.
