The sequel to the popular comedy Dumb and Dumber is filming this month, 20 years after the original movie was released.
“I’ve seen the script,” said Jeff Daniels, one of the co-stars, on the “Late Night” with Jimmy Fallon. “It’s hysterical. We’re middle-aged. We’re not pretending we aren’t. We’re middle-aged and we’re still that stupid.”
Daniels said earlier this year that Dumb and Dumber Two is “painfully funny.”
Elaborating on the movie, Daniels said: “We’re middle-aged and still that stupid. Our IQ has not gone up one point combined,” he said. “So it’s a frightening thing. You’re gonna see the two of us standing there trying to put thoughts together and you want to put underneath, ‘Kids don’t do this at home.’ It’s that stupid.”
Jim Carrey, the other co-star, tweeted a picture on September 8 of his classic chipped tooth in the movie.
