The Duggars, the stars of the TLC show 19 Kids & Counting, recently celebrated the marriage of Jill Duggar to Derick Dillard.
Much like the show itself, the couple piqued interest (and criticism) for not even kissing before they got married.
The Duggars are devout Christians.
Jill and Derick were married back on June 21 and recently got back from their honeymoon. They rented a house on the beach at Kill Devil Hills in North Carolina.
“Every morning, we would wake up and go out and sit on the deck and listen to the waves,” Jill told People. “It was beautiful. It was very private without a lot of people there yet for the season. It was so relaxing.”
While there, the couple toured the Wright Brothers National Memorial and packed a picnic lunch so they could spend an afternoon at Cape Hatteras Island.
“It was really pretty there,” Jill said. “It was wonderful. We were able to be away for almost a full week.”
Now that they’re back home Jill has been dropping Derick off at work in the morning and also meeting him for lunch since their house is close to Derick’s workplace.
Meanwhile, the TLC show recently wrapped up its eighth season with the finale on June 10. A season 9 has yet to be ordered.
