The Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup is set for Saturday, August 9.

The race is set at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire, United Kingdom.

It will be broadcast on Channel 4.

Live streaming will be available through Channel 4.

Channel 4 says that the first two races will air on More4 until 1:40 p.m., at which point Channel 4 will take up coverage through the lifting of the Shergar Cup by the victorius team around 4:20 p.m.

The four teams competing in the cup are Great Britain and Ireland, Europe, the Rest of the World, and The Girls.

“Stars of the track to watch out for include Frankie Dettori and Andrea Atzeni riding for Europe (providing they are not claimed to ride elsewhere by their retaining owners), South African superstar S’manga Khumalo who has ridden to prominence in his homeland recently and will be making his UK debut at the event, ever popular Canadian Emma-Jayne Wilson and Brit Hayley Turner who will be making her eighth appearance in the competition representing the Girls Team,” according to the Windsor government.

The Girls Team comprises the best female riders from Britain, the USA and New Zealand in Hayley Turner, Rosie Napravnik and Lisa Allpress. The Rest of the World Team comprises USA legend Gary Stevens, Brazilian Joao Moreira, who is champion in Singapore, and Japan’s champion jockey, Yasunari Iwata, while the Great Britain & Ireland and Europe teams will be finalised nearer the time.

After racing, the traditional Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup concert will feature Atomic Kitten, Blue, D:Ream, Go West, Rick Astley and Bjorn Again to create a fantastic party atmosphere at the Royal racecourse.
