Amid the government shutdown, the new “Drunk Dial Congress” website is offering Americans the ability to contact a Congressional office.

The website allows users to input their own phone number and the site will call a random office on Capitol Hill from a 1-800 number.

“Whether you are a furloughed worker, being forced to work for free, or just fed up at Capitol Hill: call and yell at a random member of Congress,” it says.

It explains that the shutdown has led to “heavy drinking.”

“As Members of Congress quickly returned from their final symbolic, non-effective and otherwise useless votes to avert a government shutdown, the heavy drinking began. Reports of our representatives getting plastered on the government’s dime - the one we have left - have come streaming in from witnesses all over Capitol Hill. Now’s your chance to tell your Representative what you really think of their actions,” it adds.

The site also offers “Talking Points,” including one that reads, “if you can yell at a Park Ranger after forcing the Government to shut down then I get to yell at you.”

Another gem reads, “You jerks are costing the country $12 million bucks per hour!”
