Drudge Report’s Matt Drudge was panned by Fox News pundit Geraldo Rivera for his coverage of the illegal immigration situation in Texas.

Drudge, he claims, has become “hysterical” over the thousands of undocumented children near the border.

“The level of discourse on the issue of these unaccompanied children from Central America has been appalling,” Rivera said, according to Poltico. “It has been disgusting. It is the worst kind of jingoistic rhetoric ever. And Matt Drudge with his massive website is doing his best to stir up a civil war. Shame on Matt Drudge.”

He focused on one particular article featured on Drudge about how the ebola virus could potentially spread to the United States across the border. A number of people have recently been sickened and have died in West Africa from the disease.

He tweeted: “Shame on Drudge. His authoritative website has gone hysterical on issue of immigrant children. 14 stories like ‘Could Ebola sneak across?’”

“Could Ebola sneak across? Ebola virus? This is exactly what they did to the Irish in the 19th century…and the Jews and the Italians in the 20th century. Not only do they bring crime they bring ideas! Be afraid – hide your daughters!” Rivera added, according to Politico.

He added: “And finally his headline right now: ‘Border bill: Surrender to lawless president.’ Ladies and gentlemen, we have to reject his hysterical jingoistic rhetoric, this inflamed hysteria, hyped by irresponsible political ideologues. This is not America, this is not New York reject this, this is horrifying.”
