During a police chase in Los Angeles, a driver decided it was a good idea do doughnuts in the middle of a street.
The incident was captured on camera after a burglary suspect attempted to evade police capture on Thursday. The suspect led police on a chase from the San Gabriel Valley to South L.A., which lasted about an hour.
While the convertable’s top was down, the suspect did doughnuts before heading into the Hollywood Hills.

The driver was identified as Herschel Reynolds, 20, and the passenger was Isaiah Young, 19, reported the Los Angeles Times.
The chase ended on a narrow road, with the suspects hugging and taking selfies with a crowd.
“I have been involved in a lot of pursuits but I haven’t seen anything quite like that,” said Dennis Zine, an LAPD officer, told the Times. “The high-fives at the end were ridiculous.”
“It was a nonviolent property crime…. In terms of priority, you need to weigh all the circumstances,” LAPD Capt. Andy Neiman said. “The two suspects didn’t appear to be trying to hide anywhere, almost sitting and waiting. You could see them take property out of their pockets and hand it to people like they knew they were going to be arrested. It was sort of surreal to watch.”

Police said there was no rush to take them into custody.
“They did not appear that they were running anywhere,” Neiman told NBC Los Angeles. “For law enforcement to rush in would have exacerbated that situation.”
Neighbors said they know why the two men stopped there.
“Why they come on this street?” Darriel Harris, a neighbor, told the station. “They stay on this street. Come home to his momma. Both of them did.”
