National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci said Sunday that the CCP virus may become a seasonal occurrence.

“Unless we get this globally under control there is a very good chance that it’ll assume a seasonal nature,” Fauci, a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, said on Sunday in a televised interview.

Fauci said it is likely that the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus will not be contained around the world by the end of 2020.
“We need to be prepared that since it will be unlikely to be completely eradicated from the planet that as we get into next season we may see the beginning of a resurgence,” he told CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

The possibility of the virus resurging again is why the federal government and White House task force are working hard to come up with a vaccine and create medication.

“Hopefully, if in fact we do see that resurgence, we will have interventions that we did not have in the beginning of the situation that we’re in right now,” he said.

On Saturday, the top doctor told PBS that the Chinese regime prevented the world from being prepared against the virus.

“If we had known that this was highly transmissible early on when it was just in China, I think other countries would have maybe been more quick on the trigger to try and inhibit travel from China to their country,” Fauci told the public broadcaster. “Maybe there would have been more attention paid to the mere possibility that just travel from China in general, but certainly from Wuhan and the Hubei District, is something that could start an outbreak throughout the world.”
