Actor Donnie Wahlberg, also a former founding member of “New Kids on the Block,” posted a photo of a $2,000 tip, drawing the praise of many.

“My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars — for years,” he wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday morning. “So, when I walk into a Waffle House, and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens!”

The post drew tens of thousands of positive reactions on Facebook.

The photo of the receipt showed that he ordered $82.60 worth of food at a Waffle House in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Two weeks ago, the actor left a $500 tip for the overnight staff at Waffle House, as reported by People magazine.

“There were two servers and a cook, and he left a $500 tip for the three of them to split,” Jessica Reed, an employee at the establishment, told the magazine. “They took a picture together and he was apparently really awesome.”

The receipt, uploaded to Twitter, showed he paid a $500 tip on a $62.75 bill.
