President Donald Trump’s son roasted Hillary Clinton on Twitter on Sunday, Jan. 28, after the failed presidential candidate used a cameo appearance during the Grammy Awards to attack his father.
Clinton appeared in a skit where several celebrities read bits from a book by Michael Wolff, a gossip columnist known for character attacks and distorting the truth.
Clinton was preceded by rapper and convicted felon Snoop Dogg, along with several other musicians. Her turn at the reading wrapped up the segment after she was “chosen” to be the voice for the audiobook version of Wolff’s “Fire and Fury.”
Donald Trump Jr. fired off two messages on Twitter to respond to Clinton’s attack.
The president’s son wasn’t the only one upset by the political content in the annual music awards show. United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley also tweeted about her displeasure with politics layered throughout the show.
“I have always loved the Grammys but to have artists read the Fire and Fury book killed it,” Haley wrote on Twitter Sunday, “Don’t ruin great music with trash. Some of us love music without the politics thrown in it.”

Grammys Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich told Fox News that it was easy to get Clinton to appear in the skit. Clinton recorded her segment at home two days before the awards aired.
“She kind of took a couple of days to say ‘yes,’ but ultimately she saw the script, she knew what we were doing and she liked it,” Ehrlich told Fox News.
Trump Jr. and Haley weren’t the only ones tuning out of the Grammy’s due to politics. Viewership of the awards dropped 24 percent compared to last year, according to Deadline.
Viewership for the awards to dipped to the lowest level since 2009.
