Dom Tiberi, an Ohio sports anchor who lost his daughter, was hugged by the entire Ohio State football team.

“Just got home.... tired but proud of the @OhioStFootball for winning. Talked to so many caring people tonight... lots of hugs. Thank you!!” he wrote on Twitter.

Tiberi has covered Ohio State football for more than 30 years. His daughter Maria, who went to the college, died during a traffic accident in September.

“It’s never going to be the same; a little piece of me died,” he said on Friday, according to Mediabistro.com. “We’re going to try to make a positive out of this... Thanks for sticking with me,” he continued.

After Ohio State beat Wisconsin-Madison, the home team lined up after the game to give Tiberi a bear hug.

“That was amazing,” Tiberi said. He also thanked Ohio coach Urban Meyer.

Buckeyes players also wore “MT” stickers to honor his daughter, Maria.
