A dog that was being trained as a seeing-eye dog saved its trainers after a car barreled down the sidewalk in California in reverse.

The dog, named O’Neil, saved Jurek and another trainer, Danielle Alvarado, in San Rafael.

“I think the dog looked before I did, and I don’t know what the dog would have done if I hadn’t grabbed Danielle. So that’s just something you'll never know,” said Todd Jurek , with Guide Dogs for the Blind, told ABC7.

The car just missed the three.

“In my mind it seemed forever,” said Alvarado.

The car was being driven by a 93-year-old woman who was in the car with her husband when she lost control.

Police are still investigating the crash, which took place Monday morning.

NBC Bay Area reported that no charges were filed against the driver, but officials will check with the DMV.
